   Day 1 Arrival in Sofia. Meet and transfer to a 4-star hotel. Welcome drink.
 
   Day 2 After breakfast travel to the Rila monastery – secluded at the foot of the impressive Rila mountain. Rila monastery is the most famous monument of the Bulgarian architecture. It was founded in the 10th century of the Bulgarian monk Ioan Rilski(who was proclaimed Saint by the church)to be primary spiritual and cultural center of the Bulgarian Revival Period. Lunch in a local restaurant. Accommodation in a 4-star hotel in Sandanski. Free time.

    Day 3 Departure to Melnik – the smallest town in Bulgaria. Melnik is a unique combination of picturesque nature – sand rocks, surrounding houses, built on hills, culture and wine. The wine of Melnik was the favourite drink of the British Prime-Minister Winston Churchille. Small wine tasting session in the Kordopulov’s house. Visit of the Rozhen monastery – known for it’s wood carving iconostasis and the miracle icon of Virgin Mary. Lunch. Return to Sandasnki.

    Day 4 Travel to Plovdiv. On the way visit of Bansko – located in the northern slopes of Pirin Mountain. Sightseeing tour of the Old Town. Lunch in a typical local restaurant. Accommodation in a 4-star hotel.

    Day 5 After breakfast – walking tour of the Old Quarter featuring the Roman Forum, the Amphitheatre and the oldest clock-tower in Europe – Sahat Tepe Hill Tower and the beautiful houses from the 18th and 19th century. Visit to the Bachkovo monastery – located 28 km south of Plovdiv in the picturesque Chaya river valley. Return to Plovdiv. Dinner in a cozy restaurant in the Old Town.

    Day 6 Departure to Sofia. Accommodation in a 4-star hotel. City tour – Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the 4th century St.George’s Church, the Russian Church and the treasures of the National Museum. Farewell dinner with folklore show.

    Day 7 Transfer to Sofia airport.
